Joanne has extensive viticultural and winemaking experience over many vintages in the Barossa, South Australia and California, USA.

Jo also had an earlier career as an operating theatre nurse and general registered nurse and this has no doubt contributed to her meticulous attention to detail and scrupulous standards of hygiene in the crafting of her wines.

Jo comes from a prominent Barossa winemaking family of international repute, her father James Irvine being inducted into the Barons of Barossa in 1998 in recognition of his long-standing contribution to the Barossa wine industry, one of Jim's many distinguished career achievements.

Jo’s expertise in winemaking, wine styling, oak selection, wine assessment and winery operations along with her superior business acumen have rewarded her with some significant accolades, including:
