The Gomersal area of Tanunda provided the majority of fruit for this wine, with a smaller portion coming from the cooler regions of the Angaston Valley. The resulting wine was matured in a combination of French and American oak barrels for 12 months.

Reviews

James Halliday Australian Wine Companion
Tasting Note: "Made from grapes grown in the Gomersol and Tanunda areas, with the distinctive Irvine touch from finishing the fermentation in French and American oak barrels perfectly integrating the fruit, oak and tannin flavours. Seductive style pioneered in 1951 by Max Schubert. Carries its alcohol well, likewise its fresh colour."
